Traditional Chinese Medicine is a health and wellness paradigm that spans over 2,500 years of documented history. This healing modality is the oldest professionally administered medicine, and it is widely accepted in both the East and the West. In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) published a consultation paper on acupuncture that brought together evidence from 225 clinical trials. The WHO now recommends acupuncture for over 100 conditions.
Dr. Zhaoxue Lu and Dr. Fang Zhang are state-licensed acupuncturists and hold national diplomas in acupuncture and herbal medicine through NCCAOM. They have over 26 years of university teaching experience along with extensive knowledge and practice experience in integrating Western and Chinese medicine.
At Pearl Acupuncture and Wellness Center, we view the body and patient as an integrated whole, not as organs functioning independently in a mechanical way. We believe that tailored, individualized care should focus not only on treatment of disease, but also prevention of disease.
In treating a disease in a particular area, we engage the entire body. Through balancing the body, mind and spirit, we can achieve true health and healing. Our treatment system is holistic and natural, and it includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui Na massage, Chinese nutrition, exercise, and medical Qi Gong/meditation.
